What We Found

Sarah Palin is alive. On Oct. 22, 2026 she posted an Instagram tribute to her boyfriend, former NHL player Ron Duguay, who died of cancer at 69; Entertainment Weekly and The Washington Times reported it.

No credible news outlet has reported her death.

The linked page is on a recipe and story site on an unrelated domain. Its article, published Oct. 21, never says she died; it's a generic profile split across 5 pages with heavy ad placements, a common clickbait pattern.

She has been a hoax target before: in 2017, AP and PolitiFact debunked fake stories that she was in a coma after a hit-and-run.

Spot a death hoax: cut-off names ("Sarah Pali"), unrelated domains, and no credible outlet reporting it.
