Privacy Policy

Level Headlines is published by Zoe Ophelia Holdings LLC, P.O. Box 1275, Twisp, WA 98856, USA · [email protected]. This policy covers levelheadlines.com, our member accounts, our newsletter, our apps and our Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X accounts.
What we collect
- Account and membership: your email address, the date you agreed to our Terms of Use and this policy (and which version), your membership level and status, and a Stripe customer ID. Sign-in uses one-time email links, so we store no password.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Screenshot and link checks: the image or link you send, your email, and any note you add.
- Newsletter: your email address and whether you opened or unsubscribed.
- Social tags: when you tag or mention Level Headlines publicly, the comment text, its ID, your public username and the post it's on, through the platform's API.
- Technical data: IP address and basic request logs, used for security and rate limiting.
How we use it
To run your account and membership, review what you send us, publish fact-checks, send the newsletter you asked for, reply to tags, and keep the site secure. We never publish your name without permission. We don't sell your data or use it for targeted ads.
AI processing of uploads
Screenshots and links you submit for an instant check are sent to a third-party AI provider (currently xAI) to produce an AI-assisted result. Please don't upload images containing other people's sensitive personal information. A human editor reviews anything we publish.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run Level Headlines: Cloudflare (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), xAI (AI-assisted checks), Brevo and Resend (email delivery), and Meta, X, TikTok and Google/YouTube (platform APIs). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Email list
Our newsletter is sent through Brevo. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to be removed.
Cookies
We use one cookie, only to keep members signed in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages for fraud prevention.
How long we keep it
Account records are kept while your account is open and then for as long as needed for tax and legal records. Submissions are kept up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymized.
Your choices and data deletion
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing [email protected] from the address on your account. We'll respond within 30 days. Cancel billing first from your account page. Payment records Stripe must keep by law are not deleted.
Children
Level Headlines is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the version and date above and, for material changes, email members before they take effect.
