What We Found

A 2012 lab study found water stored in copper pots killed some bacteria, like E. coli, but after about 16 hours of storage, not 8.

The effect was shown only for certain bacteria, not 99.9% of all bacteria.

Copper storage doesn't replace proper water treatment.
