The quote is real. Sholdon Daniels posted it on X on Oct. 13, 2026: "We don't want her 'silenced,' we want her out of our homeland and sent back to Somalia. She can run her mouth all she wants from Mogadishu." The meme matches his post word for word.

What he was replying to: on Oct. 12, federal Homeland Security Investigations agents searched Omar's home in the Washington, D.C., area under what the Justice Department called a judicially authorized search warrant, as part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation. Omar said she would "not be silenced" and called the search political intimidation. The meme leaves out this context.

Who he is: Daniels is a Dallas, Texas attorney who ran for Congress as a Republican in TX-30 and lost the May 26, 2026 primary runoff. He is a private citizen, not a government official, so this is his personal opinion, not a government position.

About Omar: she was born in Somalia, fled its civil war as a child, and came to the U.S. in the 1990s. She is a U.S. citizen and a member of Congress. News reports say the federal investigation includes immigration-form allegations. She has not been charged with a crime and has denied the allegations.
