What We Found

Fox News Digital reported it as an exclusive on Oct. 20, 2026, citing a White House official, ahead of an Oval Office announcement with Trump and Vance. USA Today, CNN and The Hill reported it too.

It's the Fraud Whistleblower Incentive Program (WHIP), run by the Justice Department. Tips go through fraud.gov.

25M is the total fund, not one payout. Each eligible tip can get up to $30,000, and only if it leads to a conviction or a significant federal enforcement action.
